When the time gets tough I remind myself of how pleased Allah (swt) is with Sabr. With that hurt in my heart, mess in my head and tears in my eyes, I accept the Qadr of Allah and that is what makes me strong, that is what keeps me going. That’s the only thing. Sabr comes from Him. I ask Him to pour down upon me Sabr. Sabr is the only action which Allah has promised that He will recompense without any measure. The reward of sabr is limitless. Meaning that all of the other actions have a fixed reward, but not Sabr. This is the one action which has no fixed reward. That shows how great and tremendous is the recompense. Just imagine then the bounties and the pleasures that await you in this world and especially in the Hereafter because of your patience.Allah Almighty said in Holy Quran: “Only those who are patient shall receive their rewards in full, without Hisaab (without limit, calculation, and estimation).”(Quran, 39:10). There is great reward only for those among us who are patient with the Decree of their Lord. In this world, we face many difficulties or trials and sufferings but we have to be patient because Allah Almighty loves those who did Patience (Sabr) in a difficult time.The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Victory will come with patience, relief will come with affliction, and ‘with hardship comes ease.’”
