My Lord! bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood'” (17:23-24).After God, my mother has been the source of my strength, my success, my life-force. Everything I am I owe to her. She taught me how to be a daughter how to be a wife; how to be a mother ; how to be a sister . Most importantly, she gave me God, and she taught me how to worship and see Him in everything that I do. She ingrained in me the importance of developing a personal relationship with God and developing that relationship throughout my life. Had it not been for my mother, I most probably would not have either known or discovered the beauty of the worship and love of God.A person came to Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and asked, “Who among people should I exhibit goodness and kindness?” He (ﷺ) said, “Your mother”. He again asked, ”Who next?” “Your mother”, the Prophet (ﷺ) replied again. He asked, “Who next?” He (the Prophet (ﷺ)) said again, “Your mother.” He again asked, “Then who?” Thereupon he (ﷺ) said,” Then your father.”⠀—
A dua for all our parents, living or departed. May Allah Subhanhu wa taala (swt) enable us to do good deeds, be the coolness of our parents eyes and a means of sadaqae jaariyah for our parents. May He swt give our parents, who are alive, a long, happy and healthy life full of emaan and those who have departed, highest ranks in Jannnat ul Firdaus Aameen!……..
